Senior Program Manager- Devops

What you will do

• Lead and manage a Platform Engineering team of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. 

• Collaborate with onsite counterparts and support teams for alignment on platform roadmap, architecture and technology delivery. 

• Build and maintain core platform components, including GCP native and third party services. 

• You will be working actively on Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools, and use CICD Workflow tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.

• You will be working on microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.

• Lead the team for automating cloud native technologies (on GCP), deploying applications and provisioning infrastructure.

• Implement and maintain robust SRE practices to ensure high availability, low latency and fault tolerance. Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate critical issues as needed.

What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, devops, cloud operations, or a similar role.

• Proven experience in managing and leading a team of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Strong understanding of GCP services, including Vertex AI, MLOps, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Big Query, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).

• System administration skills, including automation and orchestration of Linux/Windows using Terraform, Chef, Ansible and/or containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

What could set you apart

• Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Subversion) and build tools like Maven

• Experience in languages such as Python, Bash, Go, Java, JavaScript and/or node.js

• Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases such as Big Data, Postgres, Oracle, MySQL

• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka and/or Hadoop or NoSQL

• Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket)

• Cloud certification in GCP or AWS.
