Senior Test Engineer- API Testing

Key Responsibilities:

• 7+ Years’ experience in the software industry with experience in testing.
• Good Knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques & methodologies and a better understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Perform test design, test execution, and prepare test data.
• Execute both manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve them.
• Having hands on experience with API Testing and validating API responses by verifying JSON payloads, schema, and data integrity.
• RESTful API fundamentals: Designing and consuming REST APIs (HTTP methods, status codes, pagination, filtering).
• Authentication & authorization: OAuth 2.0, API tokens, service accounts, and secure credential handling.
• JSON-based data models: Request/response parsing and schema validation.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Experience working in Agile teams with exposure to detailing PBIs with multiple stakeholders
• Conduct regression testing to ensure ongoing software stability.
• Stay updated on emerging testing trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related role.
• Proficiency in test case design techniques, test execution, and defect management.
• Familiarity with both manual and automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the healthcare domain.

• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
• Experience in various Software Development Methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and V-model.
