Site Reliability Engineer - DevOps

What you get to do in this role:

• Drive immediate relief and provide a sustainable resolution to issues within the ServiceNow platform.
• Use knowledge and experience in software development, application support, systems engineering and networking to proactively prevent issues from reoccurring.
• Drive internal stakeholders and partner teams to improve the reliability, scalability and performance of the infrastructure through improved system design.
• Drive and contribute to a culture of intolerance to manual activity, which results in an automation environment delivering repeatable and scalable response to system issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• Good knowledge of Linux systems
• Coding in various languages, we normally prefer JavaScript, Python, Go, Java and Bash.
• Networking services and protocols. DNS, SNMP, HTTPS  and TCP/IP.
• Database knowledge. Postgres (preferred), MySQL,  Maria DB, Oracle DB.
• Web application development (API development) and operations experience. 
• Experience developing/troubleshooting enterprise-scale automation solutions.
• Experience working with Container and Container Orchestration Platforms (Docker Swarm, Apache Mesos, Kubernetes).
• Have knowledge of ServiceNow Workflow, HP OO, Rundeck, Apache Airflow, Tidal
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• A self-motivated team player
• Availability for weekend shifts: Must be able to work one weekend day, with a corresponding day off during the week.
• Shift flexibility: Ability to work in rotating shifts as required by the operational schedule.
• Experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform is a bonus.
