As an SDE-SR you would be required to have:

Experience in writing shell scripts and groovy/python. Having a Java /Golang background is a plus.
extensive knowledge in AWS. GCP/Azure cloud providers are a plus.
In Depth knowledge on Kubernetes(Preferably AWS EKS), networking, CDN.
expertise in solutioning and implementing scalable and performant architectures. Knowledge of microservices is a plus.
Have thorough knowledge in observability(logging, monitoring and alerting) platforms using New Relic/Datadog, etc,.
Strong understanding of deployment strategy using CI/CD tools like Jenkins & ArgoCD. Knowledge of API gateway or service mesh is a plus (preferably istio).
Expertise in SCM(Gitlab/Github), code reviews, code analysis(using Sonarqube) and GitOps approach.
Hands-on experience building Infrastructure as Code(IAC) using Terraform(Hashicorp).
Troubleshooting production issues by debugging the root cause of the problem and remediate issues quickly.
manage MySql, PostgreSQL database administration on AWS (RDS).
Good understanding of Kafka, SNS & MQTT.
Exposure to SRE/DevOps practice using Agile approach(DSMs, KPIs)is a plus.
DevSecOps is a plus.
