Job Description
- Develop test automation: Design, implement, maintain, and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios using appropriate frameworks and programming languages.
- Drive test coverage: Work with Product Managers, Developers, and Quality Engineers to understand requirements, identify risks, define test cases, and develop effective automation strategies for new features and product releases.
- Enable continuous testing: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback, detect defects early, and improve the efficiency and reliability of software delivery.
- Test APIs and data: Perform API testing using RESTful services and tools such as Postman or Swagger, and validate application data using SQL queries and SPARQL where applicable.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues: Execute automated and functional tests, analyze failures and results, identify defects, perform structured troubleshooting, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.
- Improve automation frameworks: Continuously enhance existing test frameworks, scripts, and utilities to improve maintainability, efficiency, reliability, and test coverage.
- Collaborate and contribute to quality excellence: Maintain clear test documentation, share knowledge, and collaborate with the Siemens Quality Center of Excellence to adopt effective quality engineering practices and emerging testing technologies.
