Sr Cloud Engineer

Basic qualifications: 

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps
• Experience with the AWS cloud platform
• Development team side DevOps....  with programming languages Java, Python
• Experience with infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation
• 2 + years’ experience with software development using one or more programming languages, preferably Java or Python
• Experience working as a DevOps engineer in a cloud environment (preferably AWS)
• 1+ year experience with build and deploy tools such as AWS Code Build and AWS Code Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Gradle

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience   
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Certified AWS Developer or Solutions architect
• Experience working with database technologies, especially cloud solutions such as AWS Aurora/MySQL or AWS DynamoDB
• Good understanding of DevOps practices as well as embracing a CI/CD mindset
• Proficiency in system monitoring, especially using DataDog
• An understanding of security for cloud-based applications
• Comfortable with Linux operating system and shell scripting
