Job overview and responsibilities
As part of the Contact Centers team, this individual diligently works with SRE Manager /DevOps Teams and application managers to monitor overall application(s) availability, latency and system health. Mentor, educate, and train support personnel on how to use tools.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of critical applications.
• Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes to prevent future incidents.
• Understanding of best practices for AWS, EC2, Kubernetes and monitoring of containers. Manages capacity planning, updates, upgrades, and internal integration
• Experience with site monitoring and log monitoring tools, specifically Datadog/Dynatrace.
• Define and track SLOs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure service reliability and performance
• Coordinates with DevOps, Problem Management, etc escalations to support monitoring
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Continuously improve processes and practices to enhance system reliability and team efficiency
• Mentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and with good code quality• Demonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments within the technology space and present solutions using modern technologies to adapt to provide value to business
• Work effectively with onshore and business teams
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner
• Participate in design meetings and determine technical requirements
• The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, speaks and writes clearly
• Strong understanding of systems, networks and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience in automated pipeline build, and continuous integration. Source control, branching, & merging (git)This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 4 to 6 years hands-on industry experience in software development
- 3 years experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) principles (e.gTerraform)
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Working experience in agile delivery framework
- Working experience with observability platforms and building operational dashboards (e.g Datadog or Dynatrace)
Preferred
- Knowledge of security best practices in a DevOps environment
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog / Dynatrace)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Harness tools
