Job Description
Position Summary:
Support engineers to support the lower environment in 16X5 shift.. Ideal candidate is with strong Java experience who knows Data Technologies and monitoring tolls mentioned below with AWS exp. Expecting 6-7 resources to be strong in the category and rest ETL and cloud specific
- Minimum of 4 to 8+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field required; master’s preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in supporting technologies such as Java, Web and Application servers, Message Queuing, ETL (Snowflake, DataStage, Informatica, Talend, Jenkins), databases both on premise and Cloud (AWS).
- Must have a deep understanding of Java application architecture and hands-on experience with application troubleshooting.
- knowledge of troubleshooting, automation at all software layers (e.g., UI, services, APIs, databases, etc.)
- Basic working knowledge of Unix, Windows, ability to navigate the Unix servers and analyze the logs, basic Unix / Windows commands handling.
- Basic working knowledge of executing DB (DML & DDL) scripts and sending outputs whenever required.
- working experience in DevOps and CI/CD Related Technologies (Jenkins, maven, bit bucket, SonarQube, nexus)
- Good to have scripting knowledge (any programming language) and thrive to learn, eager to automate with the available tools at the organization.
- Good to have prior experience in alerting and event monitoring models and technologies such as SNOW, Dynatrace and Splunk
- Sound knowledge in support for core AWS cloud services (Knowledge in Lambda, ECS, glue services, dockers, container, cloud watch)
- Has a growth demeanor, including thinking creatively to produce creative solutions when tools do not work, partnering and working hands-on to provide solutions (automation thorough available tools) and optimally working on multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by recipients of multiple backgrounds.
- Effective communicator who can be the technical spokesperson in broader architecture and technology discussions.
