Virtualization Engineer

To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:

• Build and maintain Kibana dashboards to visualize logs, metrics, and traces.

• Customize visualizations to support operational and business KPIs.

• Configure and manage data pipelines using Logstash, Filebeat, or Fluentd.

• Ensure efficient parsing, indexing, and storage of logs in Elasticsearch.

• Set up alerting rules and thresholds using Kibana and Elasticsearch.

• Integrate alerts with incident management tools (e.g., PagerDuty, Opsgenie).

• Tune Elasticsearch clusters for performance and scalability.

• Optimize Kibana queries and visualizations for responsiveness.

• Use tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate ELK Stack deployments.

• Maintain configuration as code for observability infrastructure.

• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) in Kibana.

• Ensure observability data complies with audit and security standards.

• Work with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to improve observability coverage.

• Conduct training sessions on Kibana usage and best practices.

Some other highly valued skills may include below:

• Expert-level knowledge of Kibana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Beats

• Data pipeline design and log parsing

• Kibana Lens, TSVB, and Canvas for advanced visualizations

• Alerting frameworks within Kibana and Elasticsearch

• Proficiency in scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell

• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
