Job Description
To be successful as a Workload Automation Engineer you should have experience with:
- Good hands-on skill in Autosys Admin activities. Strong knowledge and experience in Windows and UNIX/LINUX platforms. Scripting and programming languages (any of Python, Perl, Shell, PowerShell)
- Experience with SQl queries
- Provide 24x7 (via on-call) support ensuring incidents and changes are processed within SLA.
- Responsible for management and availability of the Workload Automation toolsets such as Autosys, TWS Distributed and TWS Mainframe. AUTOSYS knowledge is preferred
- Handling system generated events and user issues via the incident management process
- Incident, Change and Problem management via Service Now Implementing Change Requests and Service Requests in a timely fashion and to established guidelines
- Handling Major Incidents as per the MI management process
- Coordinate with Projects, Users, IT run and Engineering to deliver on new requirements.
- Ensure fault resolution and escalations are handled in a timely manner using Change and Problem management processes.
- Support the implementation of core infrastructure changes
- Ensure documented procedures followed and new provisioned for new issues or processes
- Estate Management – ensure all tools maintained to the latest level to mitigate risk and ensure vendor support where possible
Some other highly valued skills include:
- Experience in the management/operational support of workload automation applications like TWS Distributed and TWS Mainframe.
- Experience in Chef automation is preferred
- Good understanding of Ansible playbook
- Exposure to governance, control and risk management policies. Understanding of ITIL – Event/Incident processes
