Job Description
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Identify, log, track, and verify software defects.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand business requirements.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect reporting.
- Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics.
- Support CI/CD testing and automation processes.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis for test failures.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework improvements.
- Ensure software quality standards are met before production releases.
Must Have Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in QA Automation or Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing for web applications.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Basic knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Basic understanding of Git or other version control systems.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good to Have Skills
- Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- ISTQB Foundation certification is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
