Tester II - Junior QE Automation Engineer

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Identify, log, track, and verify software defects.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand business requirements.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect reporting.
• Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics.
• Support CI/CD testing and automation processes.
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis for test failures.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework improvements.
• Ensure software quality standards are met before production releases.

Must Have Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in QA Automation or Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing for web applications.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
• Basic knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Basic understanding of Git or other version control systems.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have Skills

• Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• ISTQB Foundation certification is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
